The result was to give the Pukeko an uncluttered crisp white background and to ground it with a bit of grass. And just for fun we gave it a dragonfly to play with! To tie it in with the original blue design we have coloured the insides of all the vessels and the under sides of all the plates and dishes with our signature rich cobolt blue stain. The inside of all the vessels are painted in a warm harvest colour that sets off the blue perfectly. The Pukeko has been painted with the addition of grass and a dragonfly so that it can mix n match with the White Pukeko range easily.
